Replace Sidekick

by "Don Bouchard" <dbouchard@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Aug 15, 2005 at 11:08 PM

For years I have used the database section (Contacts) of Starfish's
Sidekick
for Windows 97 to create "Rolodex" type database files to keep track of
Software I install and upgrade (date, serial no.,version, price, Company,
sup****t telephone, Web and email address) and Products (model no., serial
no., price, Company, date ordered, date received, sup****t telephone, Web
and
email address) I buy. But Starfish has abandoned Sidekick and hasn't
upgraded the software for at least 5 years.

Can anybody recommend a simple flat-file database that would allow me to
im****t my data from Sidekick and stay current with Windows XP and the
coming
Longhorn? Sidekick works less well with Windows XP.
