It was the third ranked database after Oracle and DB2 at Java Developer
Journal. http://jdj.sys-con.com/general/readerschoice.htm
OpenOffice now uses it as their database.
I moved from MySQL to HSQLDB.
They have a commercial version at http://www.hxsql.com/
which is even
faster.
