I feel fairly confident that if I had access to the Btrieve API, I
could easily read the files I have. My whole problem is that I do not
have access to the Btrieve API, as I need a free-of-charge solution as
well as a free-of-licence solution. If the Btrieve API is actually
freely accessible, and I just couldn't figure it out, then I'm sorry,
but from everything I see, the API is a part of the Pervasive Server,
which is way outside my price range of "free".
To re-iterate what I am looking for:
-A free library for reading btrieve files, or
-A do***ent describing the btrieve file format.
I would even be happy with a free program for converting between
Btrieve and any other database format, but especially MSSQL, Access,
MySQL or PosgreSQL. I find it difficult to believe that there is no
do***entation on the Btrieve file format, given it has been around for
20 years.
