With DDF files, these are very likely to be Pervasive/Btrieve database
files.  Please start here:

See the white paper on Accessing Btrieve files from ODBC, as well as
Determining your Btrieve Engine Version.

If you have ODBC access, with the newer engines, you'll ALSO have JDBC
access, but much depends on your exact engine version.
