We have a system that has been running fine for a long time, but lately we
get "Stale reference to transaction log detected" errors each day. As a
consequence, we get lock timeouts in our application, and scheduled jobs
don't run.
We are running Pervasive.SQL 9.52, and using the transactional interface.
The help file states that this error should be fixed in versions later
than
9.1, but it could still appear when having transactions open for a long
time. I have checked our programs for long transactions, and lock/unlock
mismatch, but there's no long transactions, and all lock have a
corresponding unlock.
Any idea on what to look for ? (We have turned off McAfee antivirus access
protection for the directory where the database, and transaction logs are)
