4 Records to a layout page: printing

I hope someone can help me:

I am printing multiple postcards with first and last name fields using
a four record layout:

1_   |  _   2
3     |      4

But when I go to print my results, the first record (1) is duplicated
for 2,3,4

Jane Smith         Jane Smith
Jane Smith         Jane Smith

instead of unique records.

This happens for each series of four (I have 120 or so records)

I know this should be very easy; I think I'm just missing one piece to
this puzzle and it's in the creation of the layout, I think. I print
labels all the time with no problem. . .
