Thanks, Martin.  I'll look into FreePDF.  At a fast glance, there seem
to be lots of non-Adobe PDF creators and other PDF tools around, both
commercial and free (such as PrimoPDF, etc.).  Many of these claim to
work with virtually any application.  They do this by capturing output
intended for a printer and converting it to a PDF file.

In a few days, when I can continue this self-indulgence, I'll look
into them.  If any seem to work well with FileMaker, I'll re****t it
here in case anyone else might find it useful.
