FileMaker is well-known for refre****ng and fla****ng the screen. Try
running it with no database open, or with a new file open with no data
in it. If it only refreshes when a database is open, then the issue
is in that database. Summary fields on your layout can cause this
issue, for example. Doing the above steps will tell you a lot about
where thr cause is.
This is just a hunch ... check your screen saver settings. Try
disabling it completely. If that fixes the problem, check if any
programs you run are configured to disable the screen saver (some
media players do that). What can happen is, the screen saver invokes
then is stopped, but not fast enough to stop that flicker.
