Deleting ID which owns scheduled tasks...

by BD <robert.drea@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 2, 2008 at 11:49 AM

I'm running 8.2 on Windows.

I have a situation where several scheduled tasks were created in Task
Center, under an ID of a person who is leaving the organization.

This person's ID is to be deleted, but I see no way of reassigning the
owner of these tasks. And I can't change permissions on the tasks
without logging in as that 'owner' ID.

Is renaming the ID and resetting the password a viable option here?
Does db2 authenticate based on the Windows SID? I figure if I rename
the ID to something generic, and reset the password, the original ID
doesn't need to be dropped. Only question is, will the tasks still
function...?

The docs (at least the Admin guide which I've found that discusses
Task Center) don't seem to discuss transferring ownership of scheduled
tasks...

Thx,

BD
