ADD A COLUMN IN SERTAIN POSITIONS:

I have a table FAMILY folowing columns:
SSN,NAME,DOB,AGE,PL_BIRTH,MARITAL_STAT

I would like to add a column GENDER between columns NAME and DOB.
Is posiible wihout Droping table FAMILY?
