Sorry if I'm being impatient, but I was *wondering* if/when we'll see any
T=
PC-E benchmarking, that we've been hearing rumors about?

The latest from IBM was a TPC-C using DB2 v 9.5 which was done by the
hardw=
are folks to thumb their noses at HP. Of course HP responds with their
late=
st benchmark, however while the total numbers were lower, the cost per
tran=
saction was much lower.

And they say that TPC-C is dead.

So what is it going to be?

And one has to ask... Will it be on a blade server, and if so, on the cell
=
chip based blades? ;-)

This would kind of kill two birds with one stone. We'll get to see the
cell=
in action along with IDS numbers that should shock the rest of the world.

But hey! What do I know? My client is just *now* switching to 10g, but are
=
too cheap to pay for the ability to partition tables.
Isn't that a built in feature of IDS? (meaning all commercial versions?)

-G
