Hi Everyone,

I've finally managed to pivot that damn table! It takes 12hours, and
builds a 145000 row table that is about 800columns wide.

I tested 10 cases manually across the full spread of columns, I now dare
anyone at work to prove me wrong. Proof by inducing fear.

The boss likes it so much...I now have to do the same thing to three other
tables!

All of which is done just to show an Oracle DBA that his assertion 'Only
Oracle could do this' was complete crap!

By induction...of fear.

I build a test case on a very specific sample of the data, prove it works
for that...

Make a bigger sample, show it works for that...

Do the lot, and then demand angrily that it works and scare the crap out
of anyone who wants to prove me wrong.
