If you're heading for SP1 for Ingres 2006 R2 (9.1.1) please make sure
It has a patch-fix dated 8. july 2008 (or later, which by the way is later
than your original posting) for Like-command if you're running with
collations (II_COLLATION set to as example "multi").
As example select table_name from iitables where table_name like 'ii_i%';
Gives tables with letter lowercase I in 5 position not the 4.
Please also note that if you're not having the "latest" patch-fixes you
Can run into trouble doing the upgrade for tables not on 2K pages.
(Pages being corrupt). Some errors for this show up during selects and
also during optimize.
Lot of issues as well for optimize statistics and sensitive performance
issues on queries including tables with no stats.
You can as well run into Ingres net issues for IPv6-protocol which can
be set to standard IPv4-protocol by ingsetenv II_TCPIP_VERSION 4

with ingsetenv II_ABF_ASSUME_VALUE Y
This is just a small package of the issues we have run into on the upgrade
path, but now running into production on TRU64 AXP.OSF both 9.1.0 and
9.1.1.

What's in iircp.log, anything else useful?
I think the upgrade installation of the new version is supposed to
reformat
the transaction log, but maybe that isn't happening. Try explicitly
reformatting the tx log after you've shut down the 2.6 installation and
before installing ing2006. Nothing else obvious occurs to me at the
moment.
