adding new fields

by tmbowman25@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Apr 14, 2008 at 02:53 PM

Hi

I'm trying to create a database for my companys inventory and I have
almost no experience on Access nor the time to get the training. I'm
using the inventory template so the work has already been done about
90%, but I would like to make a few edits.

I need to add new fields.

 The help files says:
1) Open Database
2) double-click table in nav plane
3) type data beneath "Add New Field" column header.

The problem here is that there is no "Add New Field" column header. I
can see it if I open a blank sheet but like I said I dont want to
start from scratch and learn everything if the work has already been
90% done for me.

I've also found in the help file a section for "Add a New Field Using
a Field Template", but this is no help either since it tells me to
open something from the datasheet tab while the project is in
datasheet view. There is no datasheet tab and I cant get one to appear
in any view.

 Any advice?

thanks,

Tom
