Tough one - really messed up database

by dkintheuk <rmcgregor@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 13, 2008 at 03:00 AM

Hi all,

I have a database with all the usual good things in it, except that it
is way corrupt.

I can open it apparently and look at tables, vewi designs of queries
etc but as soon as I click on a module, i get a message that the
module isn't there or the name is mis-spelled.

Now I tried to find a help company out there to get this back in one
piece but obviously before I pay out cash can anyone else help?

The online company that has looked at the MDB has told me that they
can recover it and all code. To be honest I already have all the data
so the code is kinda what I want.

I tried a hex editor on a copy of the MDB but can't read the output
then I got told that the decompile switch might help make it
readable... no joy.

Can anyone advise how these companies do this work? It can't be that
hard... can it???

If anyone wants a copy of the database to try and recover things then
please let me know...

Cheers,

Rob.
