Access 2003 Repairs but doesn't Compact

by "Mikal via AccessMonster.com" <u16180@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 27, 2008 at 05:30 PM

Good Afternoon,
I have an A2K backend database which suffers fairly frequent corruption
(yes,
I do make frequent backups). If I open it in Access 2000 and compact and
repair it the file is repaired and looses a good bit of bulk. However, If
I
do the same thing in Access 2003 the repair takes place but the file size
remains unchanged.

Just curious if anybody else has experienced this.

I am Running Access 2003 in WinXP. Access 2000 is via Citrix and for all
I
know the OS might be NT 4.0
Thanks,
Mike
