OT: Nwes groups

I've been spoiled rotten.  My ISP (schoollink.net) has been providing news
group downloads as part of its regular service for as long as it has been
in
existence.  It stops July 10.  NewsGuy has been suggested as an
alternative.
Their basic plan will cover all I would need, but I'm sure I want to spend
$8 a
month for the four groups I monitor.  Is there another option.

I use Agent as my news reader.  It keeps track of the headers which I've
already downloaded so when I download new headers it picks up where I left
off.
Then I mark the headers of the few posts I'm interested in and download
the
bodies only for the marked messages.  The total volume of the downloads
(headers plus messages is really quite small).
