Whoever was in charge of making backups needs to be fired.  I hope it
wasn't you.

If you have a complete set of transaction log backups (including making
one right now) and apply them in order after restoring from the old
backup, then yes.  However, given that your last full backup is six
months old, the odds of having a decent set of transaction log backups
seems slim.
