Manager, this is a Direct Hire role, Located in New
York-Albany/Poughkeepsie.

Manager, this is a Full time direct hire op****tunity. Located in the
Capital District NY. Salary range is negotiable based on experience.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Manager current team or Oracle DBA's
Coordinate with technical project managers, PL/SQL developers, and DBA
Team to ensure database performance and reliability.
Contribute to the ongoing development of technology and production
processes company-wide.
Regular communication to senior management concerning a project's status,
potential risks, concerns, problems, and needs.
Keep abreast of new design tools, hardware, software, and technology and
make recommendations for future deployment.
As needed write custom scripts to automate various daily DBA operations
Do***ent and improve existing processes
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Education:
Must have 2+ years in a management level role
3+ years as a oracle DBA or developer
Must have 6+ years experience in Oracle (8, 9i, 10g)
Experience sup****ting Oracle 10g Production Databases.
2 years experience with Data Guard
Sup****t mission critical systems in a 24X7 environment.
Plan and implement database upgrades as needed.
Ability to analyze and resolve database performance issues, database
capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Oracle 10g Certification Preferred
Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL
Must have experience on Linux
Must have backup and recovery experience including RMAN
Experience with database monitoring tools
Must have hands on experience with Ex****t/Im****t, SQL Loader
Experience with Shell scripting
Experience with external storage arrays, fiber channel switches and HBAs
and SCSI raid storage devices.
Must have knowledge of Data warehouse design and Implementation
Excellent leader****p capabilities, and communication and do***entation
skills
Ability to be proactive and work well under pressure.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
