Description: Position Summary:
Act as the Application expert by interacting directly with the application
end-user departments to complete all aspects of work in sup****t of existing
Oracle OLAP Express WEB applications. Respond to requests or problem
tickets from the application users and work with them to identify and
correct the root cause of the issue. Code and test the required changes
on assignments ranging from small maintenance requests to application
enhancements. Technical team lead for in-house Web application new
functionality development activities. Develop best practices in all
aspects of database sup****t including Oracle OLAP DML, Web Agent, and
Java. Coordinate and test upgrades to Oracle Database for impact to
application environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, with a
minimum of five (5) years experience programming, or a minimum of ten (10)
years related experience in a database environment. Must have excellent
application sup****t skills for application upgrades, troubleshooting, and
problem resolution, etc. Requires strong Oracle OLAP DML or other 4th
generation language and application programming interface (API) skills;
Must have application development experience using Oracle toolset. Must
display technical and application aptitude in addressing technology and
user issues, and be able to react to critical business needs in a timely
manner with limited guidance. Must be an analytical thinker with the
ability to diagnose problems, and have a debugging mindset with the
ability to determine the root cause of a problem and develop solution so
that it can be solved. Experience sup****ting supply chain, financial or
accounting applications. Excellent written and oral communications,
presentation and do***entation skills required. Must have the ability to
communicate with all levels in the organization. Required to follow all
standard IT practices including, but not limited to SOX, Change Management
and all Security Procedures.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Programming languages: OLAP
DML/Express or other 4th generation language (i.e., Oracle OLAP, COGNOS,
FOCUS, Essbase, Microstrategies, etc), HTML/JAVA, Application programming
interface (API), PL/SQL; Databases: Oracle 10g.
Special Considerations:
Occasional off-hour sup****t for production problems required.
