Description: By joining CIBER as a full time Oracle DBA, you will be
helping one of our Financial Services clients The responsibilities for
this position may include some or all of the following:
-Implements and maintains IT systems and services with complex technical
specifications across their lifecycle
-Sup****t and Administration activities sup****ting the Production and
Development teams
-Development of policy and procedures as they relate to database
maintenance, security and archiving
-Provides direction for resolving technical incidents, problem management
and root cause analysis
-Troubleshooting DB performance issues
-Trouble shooting complex SQL performance issues.
-Backing up and restoring the database
-Participates in the client Sup****t Model, including 24X 7 sup****t, and
executes against existing processes
-Provide summary of accomplishments, issues and work planned
-Interface effectively with other client teams
-Suggest and implement process improvements
-Ability to assist the technical resources with their day-to-day
activities
Requirements:
-BA/BS in a related technical field; or the equivalent in education and
work experience
-At least 7 years experience in Information Technology and demonstrable
competence in administration and architecture of Oracle DB and Oracle
Streams.
-Experience with Oracle 9 & 10, RMAN, OEM, and DB tuning in a Unix
environment, Solaris preferred.
-Unix Shell scripting experience
Experience with the following:
-Software installation/configuration
-Production Sup****t
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Excellent customer service and client management skills
-Excellent problem solving skills with process focus
-Excellent organizational and analytical skills
-Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team
environment.
Preferences:
-Experience with ETL Tools, preferably Informatica.
-Experience with Business Objects/Crystal Re****ts.
-Experience with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS)
-Experience with Solaris 10 Zones
