REQUIREMENT:
Title: Technical Architect (Unix and Oracle)
Location: Atlanta,GA

This position requires hands-on Unix and Oracle Database
Administration skills. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in
day-to-day production sup****t, monitoring, advanced troubleshooting
skills, proactive system analysis, backup and standard Oracle
administration activities. Successful candidates will have experience
in multiple Oracle release installations.
The architect provides strategic technical-level leader****p in Unix an
Oracle and is also responsible for assisting with the establishment
and enforcement of database and data integration standards and
guidelines in order to ensure database and data integration.
Specific responsibilities include:
=B7 Review overall physical database structures for data integrity,
performance quality, recoverability, maintenance, & space requirement
considerations
=B7 Work closely with applications development teams to ensure proper
data modeling & design paradigms are applied in the creation & ongoing
maintenance of respective databases, to ensure efficient data
access in application programs, & to review test benchmarks
=B7 Assist in the definition & resolution of database problems
=B7 Create, develop, & review the physical model created from the
logical model, ensuring that the detailed physical design of data
structures and databases complies with standards & conventions
=B7 Recommend & establish standards, guidelines, & procedures for all
aspects of data modeling, database design & maintenance
=B7 Produce: entity relation****p diagrams, data flow diagrams, database
normalization schemas, logical to physical database mapping, data
table parameters, & manage the implementation & use of the enterprise
data dictionary
=B7 =B7 Functionally & technically evaluate database upgrades & patches,
database backup & recovery, change management disaster recovery
planning & sup****t
-7 years of experience with Oracle relational databases 8i, 9i
and 10G - Backup Recovery Strategies, Performance Tuning, Capacity
Planning
- 7 years Experience with UNIX client/server environment
(preferably SUN Solaris), UNIX Korn shell scripting and performance
tuning
-7 years installing, maintaining, and upgrading database
software, troubleshooting problems
-7 years knowledge of web and client/server technologies and
development techniques on multiple hardware/software platforms
-7 years practical experience in full systems development life
cycle and methodologies
