A new Paradox symptom

My Paradox system has recently developed a new behavior, which I want
to ask about.  

After starting Paradox, the first time I open a form in the Design
mode or switch one to the Design mode, I get an error message window
that says "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its
end".  When I clear that window, I get a second one saying the same
thing.  After that, everything seems to work normally.  

This happens in several databases, so it appears not to be anything
within my database causing this.

I'm not aware of having made any changes to the Paradox system.

This is Paradox 9.00.441 running on Windows 2000, which has all of its
updates as far as I know.  At least Microsoft isn't telling me that I
need to download any changes currently.

Any ideas on what's going on here?
