Sadly, none of the recent suggestions ( b.. ..b.. b or B or no
parameter
at all ) overcame the gray band. However, there' was a break through.
In addition to the bul (bulletin) field, I have Y and Z fields for further
sorting. This seems legit and proves handy for Christmas card & other
occasional
mailings. Somehow an f found its way into the Query Y field There
being
no corresponding f in the Y field of the main table for the Query to
select,
it could only respond with the gray band, which,evidently means nothing
doing ! I deleted the f and ran the query, and there were the
records.
