If I remember correctly...  MS Excel or Access (one or the other... maybe 
even both) can im****t these problem delimited text files better then 
Paradox.   Once you have im****ted the file into the MS app... then you can

Ex****t the file to a Paradox DB file from within the MS app.

I seem to recall that the MS app had more granular options for im****ting 
delimited text files  (CVS).

I also seem to remember that I had to create an empty Paradox DB file that

had all the fields defined (data type, field size, etc)... then I could
ADD 
the data to it.  It's been awhile... you will have to experiment.... but
it 
was either Access or Excel that helped me out on this issue...

Also note... the Paradox file drivers are not usually installed with
Access 
or Excel as a default option during installation...  You may have to add
the 
Paradox file drivers to your Access and/or Excel apps using the MS 
Add/Remove Software util, before you can try this.
