Mal-Pasting

by "Delbert Liechty" <delllz94.@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 19, 2008 at 11:28 AM

I have a database named Main2 of about 400 Records for making mailing
labels
(Paradox 8).
To back it up, I selected the Main2 family in Working (about five lines)
on C: drive,
did a Copy, and proceeded to Paste it on my Zip drive. But by a slip of
the mouse I Pasted it back on Working in C: drive. (Dam!)

Instead of just updating the Main2 family in Working, it made a copy
(about
five lines) directly below.

Thinking this might have been a fluke, I Pasted it into Working again.
Another
copy of about five lines appeared, directly below the first. So by then
I had the Main2 family (about five lines) with two copies
of about five lines each with no spacing in Working. After shutting down
and re-launching Paradox, I got the following in Working:

Copy (2) of Main2
Copy of Main2
Main2

These three lines are all that appeared under Working

On Open Table, the usual Main2 table came onscreen. But there was one
thing
missing--the Fields had lost their color--no nice red, yellow, blue, etc.
Proceeding to make a set of mailing
labels (about 210), I found that everything went normally.

I would appreciate some comments.
