That's because it is just a password, encrypted and compared to something
else. And, because we're dealing with binary, fields will "roll over"
when
they reach their limit; and because it's done by adding each character,
performing a math exercise and then doing it again, there is the
possibility
that a different set of characters will produce the same effect.
That's why it is never used to DECRYPT data.
