Best to check on the uv list, but, afaik, uvbackup does it all for you,
including changing the internal format if the environments are different
releases. This may be needed anyway for unix -> NT.
There is also the oddly-named fnuxi program to change file formats, with
its
typically inscrutable do***entation. This may be needed in you are going
from a higher-level release to a lower one.
I see no reason to use file copy.
