TW-966 API Technical Writer - Staff - Newark, NJ (local candidates

A developer of high-performance platforms for providing real time data
feeds for the investment/trading industry needs a technical writer
with experience do***enting C++ and Java.
You will have full responsibility for all customer-facing product
do***entation relating to the client's database and streaming data
platform.
You will have responsibility for Installation Guides, Product
Overviews, Quick Start Guides, Authoring Guides, Administrator's
Guides, Guide to Utilities, and Guide to Interfaces. Moving forward,
this position will be expected to set the direction of the product
do***entation, establish priorities, and generate content with the
goal of delivering best-in-class product do***entation.
Products are heavily technical in nature, with the closest parallel
being a relational database. Target audience is a mixture of
programmers and system administrators.
You will be in the NJ office of a Chicago-based company. You will
re****t to the CTO.
There are 15 people in the NJ office (mostly PhD-types from MIT), so
you should be an excellent self-manger and totally comfortable working
closely with brianiac engineers.
Requirements:
o. 3+ years experience writing API manuals, programming reference
manuals, etc. for Java and C++ (Both Required)
o. Experience with relational databases and SQL (Required)
o. Bachelor's degree (Required)
o. Experience with streaming real-time data is a plus
o. Experience with AuthorIT and RoboHelp a plus
o. Experience with DocBook or DITA a major plus
