A leading developer of products for data synchronization, integration,
continuity, migration, and warehousing needs a Sr. QA Engineer.
Our client is one of today's most exciting infrastructure software
companies. It is private, well funded, profitable, has a very healthy
term-based licensing model and addresses a market need that many of
the larger players are interested in but cannot yet serve. It is one
of the few companies in the $20-50M range that qualify as 'high-
growth' companies (>30%/year) in the infrastructure market.
You will be a member of the QA team, re****ting to the QA Director.
Primary responsibilities will include the planning, development and
execution of test plans for a variety of products, system
configuration and share lab maintenance tasks.
You will:
o. Perform black box (system integration) testing but will be
augmented with automated processes and tools
o. Develop the test plan, logical and physical test cases to be used
in testing based on business requirements, technical specifications
and/or product knowledge
o. Setup system level configuration
o. Identify hardware and software requirements and provide test
efforts
o. Perform functional and system testing
o. Perform Performance tests
o. Troubleshoot system and product issues
o. Review and comments user manuals
o. Must enjoy a fast paced, dynamic environment with a desire to learn
and test new languages/technologies as they are introduced.
o. Mentoring junior QA Engineers
Requirements:
o. 5+ years testing software in Unix, Windows and Linux environments
(Required)
o. Experience with Data Synchronization and Disaster Recovery
technologies (Required)
o. Experience with Perl, WinRunner (or Silk), and C++ (Required)
o. Proficient with at least TWO of the following: Oracle, Oracle RAC,
DB2 and UDB, Sysplex, MSSQL, Sybase, MySQL (Required)
o. Proficient: PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, Windows Scripting, Unix shell
script (Required)
o. Experience with Swing, JavaScript, DHTML, XML, J2EE a plus
o. Experience with Oracle Application (11, 11i) Siebel System,
PeopleSoft a plus

o. The office is in downtown SF, close to BART.
