An optical software and optical engineering services company
headquartered in Pasadena needs a Software Test Engineer.
This work involves manual testing, maintaining suites of automated
test cases, and product release testing across multiple hardware
platforms. The product is state-of-the-art optical CAD/CAE programs
for the layout, design and analysis of lens systems.
Primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited
to:
o. Manually testing of software products
o. Writing test plans and matrices
o. Assessing a GUI for the purpose of creating and documenting manual
test scenarios
o. Maintenance of the automated test case suites, including adding
new tests, executing tests, and verifying test results
o. Submitting and maintaining defect reports in an on-line database
Requirements:
o. 5+ years experience in software testing under both Windows and Unix
(Required)
o. Proven record in writing and executing software test plans
(Required)
o. Experience with automated test tools and test utilities (Required)
o. Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Math,
Physics, Engineering (Required)
o. Experience with ClearCase is a plus
o. Experience using CAD software and/or SolidWorks is a plus
