EN-638 Database Sales Engineer - Staff - UK or Ireland

A leading developer of Transactional Data Management (TDM) solutions
is looking for an experienced systems engineer to sup****t their
sales representatives in the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing pre-sale and
post sales technical sup****t to the sales team. You will also
function as a technical resource for the customer and for less
experienced Systems Engineers and consultants.
In a pre-sales sup****t role, you will:
o. Prepare and deliver demonstrations and presentations of most
products and answers basic technical questions about them with
minimal outside assistance.
o. Provide technical sup****t to the sales representatives.
o. Assist customers during product evaluation by installing
software, providing product training when necessary, answering
technical questions, managing and executing product benchmarks and
proof-of-concepts, and developing an account sup****t strategy.
o. Interface with the customer's technical team, gathering insight
and information that will be useful in developing a sales strategy
for the account.
In a post-sales sup****t role, you will:
o. Ensure each customer's ongoing technical satisfaction with the
company and its products.
o. Transition the customer to post-sales sup****t channels.
Requirements:
o. 3+ years experience as a sales engineer (Required)
o. 5+ years of experience in database and/or data replication
technologies. Must have a good working knowledge of database
systems, concepts, and architectures. (Absolutely Required)
o. Prior experience as a DBA is a plus. Experience with EAI, ETL,
and EII technologies is a major plus.
o. Must be willing to travel. Average 50% travel to sup****t sales
representatives in the UK and Ireland. (Required)
o. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline.
