A leading developer of optical and wireless telecom equipment needs a
Firmware Engineer to work on multi-threaded embedded software for air
interface wireless protocol test products. The product is for cdma2000
wireless handset & application developers and cdma2000 carriers.
Responsibilities include:
o. Systems analysis, development, design, implementation and testing
of real-time multi-threaded embedded software for cdma2000 air
interface wireless protocol test products.
o. Develop object oriented software designs using C, C++ and PERL.
o. Develop product and test software using knowledge of wireless
protocol layers 1, 2, and 3.
o. Mentoring others to develop good software.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years experience coding embedded wireless protocols using C/C++
(Required)
o. Experience with cdma2000 protocol Layers 1-3 (Required)
o. BSEE/ BSCSE/ BSCE/ BSCS/ Telecommunications or equivalent
(Required)
o. Experience with PERL, PowerPC Vxworks (or other real-time operating
system), wireless communications, wireless communications test
equipment, makefiles, shell scripts a plus
