Responsibilities:
=B7 Provide analysis, problem identification and sup****t for a variety
Progress Applications.
=B7 Provide Progress coding, testing, and analysis on new projects and
business initiatives.
=B7 Receive user sup****t inquiries via the Help Desk system.
Investigate, resolve, and follow-up on user inquiries and problems.
=B7 Learn and understand the our business processes and associated
applications.
=B7 Document new knowledge items in a manner consistent with the
guidelines established for maintaining the knowledge base.
=B7 Demonstrate ability to learn new applications by quickly developing
a high level of functional expertise.
=B7 Demonstrate ability to work effectively as a team member.
Required Skills and Abilities:
=B7 2+ years experience with Progress v8 (or above) GUI and application
programming sup****t.
=B7 1+ years experience with Progress WebSpeed development.
=B7 2+ years experience with web based programming (ASP, .NET,
JavaScript, HTML).
=B7 Ability to visually review specifications documents and provide
input on successfully implementing business solutions.
=B7 Above-average oral and written communication skills and excellent
interpersonal.
=B7 Associates degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree
preferred. (Combinations of college-level course work in information
systems and relevant experience can substitute for a degree.)
Desired Skills and Abilities:
=B7 Progress v10 OpenEdge experience.
=B7 SQL Server 2000/2005 familiarity.
=B7 Experience with online financial transactions and modules.
=B7 Ability to function under close deadlines with minimal supervision.
