New records from nowhere?

I use FoxPro 2.6 for Windows.

Today I suddenly got 84 new records in a table. Each field was either
blank or had a 0 or an O in it.

The program is running on a network and no one has a clue to how these
records suddenly were added.

The program has been running for 12 years and is rather stable by now.
This has never happened before.

Could it be a form of table corruption caused by bad network? The 84
records were added at the end of a table.
