In my company there is some talk about migrating to SQL server down
the road. Currently we have to transition fast out of a an old FPW 2.6
legacy application to VFP.
What is the best way to go about building a form for data entry? Is it
a good practise to bind tables with the form? I can see it can save a
lot of developing time but I can see the flexibility to change the
database from VFP to SQL server on a later date would be seriously
hampered.
I just need some pointers at this stage so that we do not start on the
wrong foot. Any advice or any good books on this subject or any
examples would be great.
