VFP 9: Filters Implemented with SQL - Followup (Not solved quite yet)

by Gene Wirchenko <genew@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 9, 2008 at 04:43 PM

In "VFP 9: Filters Implemented with SQL", I wrote about my
problems with using SQL in a filter expression. C0000005 is such an
ugly thing to see.

I have found a workaround solution. I do not get the errors if I
make one change: use the table in exclusive mode.

This is puzzling. I am the only one using the program, so there
should be no contention for rows. With the crashes, there is no
difference in the table and index files after the crash.

Does this twig anything with anyone about a fine point that I may
be missing?

Sincerely,

Gene Wirchenko
