Err, I did read the post.

You asked "By the way, is that name 'Ben Finney' your real name or did
you borrow that (as a pen name) from an episode of Star Trek (entitled
Court Martial)?"
He answered "Nope".

That is either nope to it being his real name, or nope to it being
borrowed. You question was badly worded in that an answer such as his
gives no clue as to which part of the question he is answering.

I hope you can write clearer programmng logic than you can questions.
