See the evidence of the problem in other followup emails, but wanted to
chime 
in that I can see the extra charectors if I do a "view source" on the
message 
in kmail. This shows the raw text (includes headers and all that) that
come 
with the message, but normally my email client formats all that away to
give 
me a nicer looking email (i think i use the fancy headers setting), so I 
think the problem does exist, but most people aren't aware of it becuase
most 
mail clients hide it away from you.
